The Mitsubishi Outlander Is Getting Charged

While overseas drivers were charging their Mitsubishi Outlanders, we have been allotting time and money for fuel ups. With our budgets, schedules and Mother Nature suffering, the iconic Japanese marque is bringing its battery-powered ingenuity to the states: the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will be hitting showrooms this fall.

A plug-in hybrid rendition of a favorite all-weather confident SUV, the Mitsubishi Outlander partners a 12-kWh lithium-ion battery with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine.

When running in its hybrid mode, the gasoline engine acts solely as a generator to charge the battery, and whilst running in its electric-only mode, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV travels quite a ways, helping to diminish “range anxiety”.

Though currently unavailable, New London will soon have the opportunity to drive this forward-thinking model. In the meantime, we at Secor Mitsubishi encourage our drivers to keep a close eye on our inventories, perhaps take a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander for a spin and refer back to our blog for all your Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV updates; this way you can be among the first to make it yours.
